The Playoffs have started here in Minnesota. Last Tuesday and Wednesday were the first round games of the Section Quarterfinal playoffs. Most of Minnesota's teams played and there were a lot of high scoring games. A number of kickers had strong games, but 1 kicker in particular had a great night of kicking. Chanhassen's kicker Noah Kersten converted all 6 of his PATs and connected on a 36 yard field goal for 9 points. The top punter was Ebenezer Laryea of Columbia Heights High School who had 5 punts of 198 total yards and a 39.6 yard average.
For both of these great accomplishments, they both earned our Section Quarterfinals Special Teams Players of the Week honors. Congrats to all of you.
