Week 5- Special Teams Player of the Week (2014)

At the midway point in the high school football season, we are starting to see a few kicker's names surface with repeat big kicking performances.  This week Patrick LeCorre of Edina had a big game kicking with 2 PATs and field goals of 34, 38 and 42 yards to help his team beat rival Minnetonka.  He also went 7 for 7 on Kickoffs for Touch Backs and made a crucial block on a 2 point conversion to help score 11 points for his team.  Patrick's had a stellar high school football kicking career and has 22 career made field goals to date!

There were a number of big performances a number of kickers and punters.  Congratulations to everyone.

  • Patrick LeCorre- Edina HS- 2 for 2 PATs and 3 field goals (34, 38 & 42 yards) and 7 for 7 on Kickoffs for Touchbacks- 11 points

  • Justin Bohnsack- Rogers HS- 3 punts for 126 total yards and a 42.0 yard average

  • Sam Oddo- Chanhassen HS- 4 punts for 166 total yards and a 41.5 yard average
  • Stephen Newberger- Blaine HS3 punts for 120 yards and 40.0 yard average
  • Matt Arnason- Benidle St Margarets HS5 punts for 194 total yards and a 38.8 yard average

Kicker
  • Nathaniel Van Loon- Bethel University- 5 for 5 PATs and 1 Field Goal (30 yards)- 8 points
Punter
  • Javon Hering- U of Minnesota-Crookston- 2 punts for 93 total yards and a 46.5 yard average.
