Special Teams Football Academy is please to see that 7 of the 9 starting kickers in the MIAC (Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) are all STFA Trainees.
Every MIAC school except St Olaf and Concordia Moorhead have between 1-3 kickers on each squad who have come and trained with Coach Husby and his Special Teams Football Academy staff.
All of these kickers have been involved with our development training program between 1-5 years. We are excited to be able to make that type of difference in the football collegiate football world.
We are
excited to announce that Jordan Wettstein of Special Teams Football Academy is now
available for private football kicking lessons and clinics in the San Francisco,
Oakland and surrounding Northern California areas.

Jordan is a
very accomplished Division 1 College Football Kicker and is currently an NFL
Free Agent Kicker pursuing the NFL. Jordan's unique route to
becoming a Division 1 kicker is a very inspirational story to many high school
specialists about never giving up.

Jordan's
Player Biography:
Jordan
was a soccer player his entire life and walked onto a Big 10 Division 1
football program at the University of Minnesota. He earned a full
scholarship under Coach Jerry Kill the last two years of school, along with the
starting job. After completing his senior season, he went straight to the
Arena Football League playing for the Green Bay Blizzard in the hopes it would
help his chances at the next level. Jordan retired halfway through the
2013 season to focus on his training for the NFL, in which he received calls
and workouts from the Green Bay Packers, New England Patriots, Houston Texans,
Denver Broncos, and Kansas City Chiefs.
He now
resides in San Fransisco, CA and offers football kicking lessons to High
School, Youth and Collegiate specialists throughSpecial Teams Football Academy.

Join us, on Saturday, May 30, 2015, as Coach Chris Husby, and his staff at Special Teams Football Academy will be running it's Spring NCS (National Camp Series) Kicking, Punting and Snapping Camp at Stillwater Area High School from 9:00 AM- 1:00 PM. Registration starts at 8:45 AM.
It will be an (NCS) evaluation and instructional camp. The instructional focus will be on preparing the Kicking/Punting/Snapping specialists for summer training. The camp will have 2.5 hours of evaluation and 90 minutes of instruction. Specialists can also sign up for the INSTRUCTION ONLY CLINIC (Contact Coach Husby if interested in this option). The NCS Evaluation are for specialists in grades 6th through 12th grade. The Clinic is open for specialists of all ages.
We will run the specialists through a standardize test for specialists on Field Goals, Kickoffs, Punts and Long/Short Snaps. The evaluation can be used for athletes that have interest in pursuing football at the collegiate level. I like to refer to it as the ACT test for specialists. Each athlete that participates, will receive a rating that can be used to see how you stack up against your local and national peers and be sent out to college coaches. Here is a link to see the current Seniors.
Following the evaluation, there will be a free 90 minute clinic on K, P, LS for NCS camp participants. The clinic will approximately starts at 11:30 AM, but may start up to 30 minutes earlier, depending on how fast the evaluations get done. To Apply for just the Clinic, register here.
The National Camp Series' KIX (Kicking IndeX) Player Ratings are OBJECTIVELY based upon the data that they have collected for several years. Having been able to capture the statistics from their results for specialists in the kicking game, they rate our athletes in each of the following:

*Punts
*Long Snaps

On May 24th, 2015 Coach Chris Husby and Special Teams Football Academy will be running a Development kicking camp for Kickers, Punters and Long Snappers hosted at Robbinsdale Cooper High School. It will be a Summer Prep camp where we will focus on technique, mechanics and drill work for beginners and advanced kickers, punters and long snappers. Athletes of all levels of experience are welcome
We will train and provide your specialist with fundamental instruction and drills to work on over the summer. There will be on the spot video analysis to show the specialist what they are doing in order to make quick adjustments. Specialists will compete in various Head to Head competitions and Game Scenarios training. Camp awards can be earned based on performances.
Our goal is to help your child improve and give them the tools and confidence needed to succeed, as well as drills to use for summer training. Camp is open to athletes of all levels (Middle School, High School, and College).

We’ll give instruction on Field Goals, Kickoffs, Punting, Long Snapping and even instruction on Holding (for Field Goals).

Do you want to train with us, but don't live locally in the Midwest nor can make it to our camps? We have Virtual Lessons available! Coach Chris Husby can review your game or practice film and provide a detailed analysis for you over the phone and email.
Phone conversation and virtual lesson typically last 50-60 minutes and would include film review and development of an ‘Action Plan’ to help you prepare for your future training. Action plan items include things like a list of drills to work on, skill specific advise for the field and weight room, mental focus preparations, and more.
Some prep work may be needed before our phone conversation. Guidelines and ideas on how to prepare film will be discussed prior to the lesson. Virtual lessons are $50 and are prepaid using PayPal or CC.
