Section Championship- Special Teams Players of the Week (2014)

As the playoffs reach the Section Championship rounds, it's always fun to see what teams continue to stay strong, and what teams make surprise upsets. Last week all remaining Minnesota teams were playing for a berth at State Tournament. There were a lot of tight games and a few over time wins. One kicker in particular had a big game for his team Stuart Hamann of Lakeville North (Class 6A) spent a lot of time on the field. He hit 2 for 2 on PATs, but hit 4 field goals of 28, 24, 20 and 27 yards for a total of 14 points for his team.   On top of that, he had 2 interceptions and returned one of them for a 66 yard touchdown! 4 Field Goals also ties a state record for number of field goals made in a game.  Lakeville North is having a great season and is currently 9-1 entering the state tournament!  Good luck in your state playoff run.
