Week 8- Special Teams Players of the Week (2014)

As the regular football season comes to a close we see a number of familiar names leading their team in the special teams game. The top kicker this week goes to Anders Gelecinskyj of Bloomington Kennedy High School.  He converted 6 PATs and 1 Field Goal  of 37 yards for 9 points. Congratulations to everyone who earned specialists of the week honors!  Good luck to you all in the playoffs.

    • Luc Langille- Minneapolis Southwest HS- Game Winning 27 yard Field Goal

    •  Jared Johnson- Mahtomedi HS- 5 punts for 206 total yards and a 41.2 average
    Honorable Mention
    • AJ Laudet- Stillwater HS- 4 punts for 148 total yards and a 37.0 average.
    • Brett Swenhaugen- Tracy-Milroy-Balaton HS4 punts for 147 total yards and a 36.8 average
    • Jordan Fralich- Duluth Marshall HS4 punts for 145 total yards and a 36.2 average.

    Coach Husby also has helped train a number of specialists at the collegiate level.  We'd like to recognize those top performances.

    • Alexi Johnson- St Johns University- 3 for 3 PATs & 2 for 2 on Field Goals of 37 & 29 yards- 9 points
