2015 Minnesota Bombers Top Specialists Class

14 Minnesota Kickers, Punters and Snappers earned a spot on the 2015 Class of Minnesota Bombers Top Specialists Group.

This fall is our 4th Annual Minnesota Bombers Class.  14 Minnesota Kickers, Punters and Long Snappers earned a spot in the exclusive 2015 Class of Minnesota Bombers group.  Being a "Minnesota Bomber" means that these specialists have been recognized in having great kicking and snapping abilities and are some of Minnesota's Best ‘All Around’ Kickers, Punters and Snappers for their graduating classes.  They have a bright future as a high school athlete as well as the tools and skill set to play at a high collegiate level.

We took some time this September 2015 to get together down at the Minnesota Wing-Commemorative Air Force base in St. Paul, MN, and take some incredible images with the World War II B-25 Bomber plane-"Miss Mitchell."

Meet the 2015 Minnesota Bombers Class!

Class of 2016 (Seniors)
Mac Brown- St Thomas Academy-  Mac Brown is a tremendous athlete.  He encompasses the term 'pure athlete' to its fullest.  He is a great punter and kicker combo, but also an excellent WR, DB and handles kick/punt returns.  He is a very strong and consistent field goal kicker who over the summer connected on 21 consecutive 50 yard field goals.  Also a great punter who drives the ball for great hang time and distance.

AJ Laudet- Stillwater High School- A combo kicker/punter, who excels most as a punter.  AJ has the leg strength to flip a teams' field position in a single punt. Punts with tremendous hang time and is an offensive threat on the field.  A great rugby punter too that adds another dimension to special teams.

Grant Olson- Woodbury High School-  Grant has really developed into a strong overall kicker and punter with a booming leg.  His best strength is as a punter, who can consistently punt for a 40+ yard average. Brings a lot of accuracy and power on his field goals too.

Alex Probert- Andover High School-  Alex has one of the best kickoff and field goal legs in the state.  A very consistent leg that can kick the ball out of the back of the end zone.  Arguably one of the top 10-15 kickoff specialists in the nation.  Was the first in his 2016 grad class in Minnesota to receive multiple scholarship offers over the summer.  A verbal commitment to Liberty University.

Cory Albertson- Stillwater High School (LS)- Cory is one of the top long snappers in the state of Minnesota.  A great frame to snap at a high collegiate level, that brings a lot of zip and accuracy behind every snap.

Class of 2017 (Juniors)
Grant Ryerse- East Ridge High School-  Grant is a very talented specialist.  Arguably one of top combo kickers in the state. He gets phenomenal height and distance on his kickoffs and can kick a consistent deep touch back.  He has been a skilled kicker at a young age and was considered one of the best in his class since 7th grade.  He has a great demeanor about him and handles game situations very well.  Works hard on his kicking and punting and has a lot of college interest, which includes a scholarship offer from the Minnesota Gophers.

Austin Solors- Elk River High School-  Austin has a cannon for a leg.  He brings a lot of power into each kick and has become very accurate on his field goals.  Can kick a nice deep kickoff and should also develop into a great punter too.

Chase Sullivan- Mahtomedi High School- Chase is a very good kicker with a nice smooth approach on each kick and punt.  Can blast a kickoff deep into the endzone and is a clutch field goal kicker.  A developing punter which will make him a nice triple threat.

Kenny Watkins- Rosemount High School-   Kenny has really developed into a strong kicker this off season. He gets great high on all of his kicks and can be counted on for consistent touchbacks and long range field goals when needed.  Promising future as a kicker and punter combo.

Class of 2018 (Sophomores)
Matthew Jaeger- Armstrong High School- Matthew brings a big leg to the Armstrong team. He has a field goal range over 50 yards and a consistent touch back ability on kickoffs, he will be a lethal weapon for his team for the next 3 years.  Also a finalist for the US National Football Team for his age group.

Aaron Salmon- Cleveland High School- A starting varsity kicker since the 8th grade.  Aaron now kicks for (9-man) Cleveland HS. Aaron is a talented combo kicker/punter who already brings consistency, power and long range distance on his kicking and punting.  He is a very polished kicker for his age and still has room to develop.

Class of 2019 (Freshmen)

John Copeland- St Thomas Academy- John is 1 of 2 talented freshmen specialists on the STA squad.  He excels as a kicker who already has a field goal range of 45+ yards.  Gets great height on many of his kicks which will help his team gain very good field position.

Mason Lowell- St Thomas Academy- The other half of STA's young dynamic duo is Mason.  Mason is a very gifted punter with incredible flexibility and technique that can already turn over a punt 35-45 yards.  Rare to see a freshman with this punting talent.

Nathan Willis- Eagan High School- A young talented kicker that has a bright future.  A field goal range of 45+ yards and already a kickoff ability to put the ball close to the end zone.  Kicks with a lot of power at a young age.

Congratulations to everyone!
