Week 8- Special Teams Players of the Week

As the regular football season comes to a close we see a number of familiar names leading their team in the special teams game.   For the 3rd time this year, Wyatt Schmidt of St Thomas Academy, earns our player of the week honors with another big game.  Wyatt hit all 4 for his PATs, and connected on both of his field goals of 27 & 33 yards for 10 points.  Wyatt is also 100% on his FGs and PATs for the season so far, and showing major signs as to why he might be the top kicker in the state of Minnesota.  Congratulations Wyatt on your 3rd Player of the Week honor!

1. Alex Macgregor- Zimmerman- 9 for 10 PATs- 9 points  
2. Tyler Knutson- Maple Grove- Freshman Level- 2 for 2 PATs & 2 for 2 FGs (29 & 26 yards) & hit a nice touchback- 8 points
3. Mackenzie Rahnenfuehrer- Rochester John Marshall- 8 for 8 PATs- 8 points
4. Matt Arnason- Benilde- St Maragaret's- 5 for 5 PATs & 1 for 1 Field Goals (31 yards)- 8 points
5. Jake Klein- New Prague- 2 for 2 PATs & 2 for 2 Field Goals (21 & 33 yards)- 8 points
6. Will Mulder- Worthington- 5 for 6 PATs & 1 for 1 Field Goals (30 yards)-8 points
7. Ryan Menssen- St James- Punter- Kicked 2 punts, one with his right foot for 47 yards and a second with his left foot for 41 yards!  Amazing
